I accept a small number of commissions each year, both for paintings and illustrations.

Please note: I do not create commissioned work based on client-provided photographs, portraits, or exact visual references. My commissioned pieces are inspired by shared themes, moods, and ideas, allowing space for intuitive interpretation, abstraction, and artistic freedom.
Usually, the process begins when a client wishes to order a piece as a gift. We exchange a few messages, and I ask gentle questions: Who is the painting for? On what occasion? By when? I invite the client to describe the person, sometimes to share a few photographs – not for copying, but as fragments of inspiration. We may talk about colours, interests, and things that bring joy. From these shared words and images, I gather a palette of impressions. With that, I am entrusted with freedom – to let the work unfold intuitively, in abstraction and openness. Occasionally, I share process photos if requested, but most often the journey rests in trust.

Gift cards
Electronic gift cards for the online art shop are available in denominations of 50€, 100€, 200€, 500€, 1000€ and can be redeemed within one year from the date of purchase. Gift cards cannot be returned or refunded.
Shipping to countries outside of the European Union is currently not available, but exceptions can be made where possible. Please enquire by sending an email to: hello@marissiimer.com
Prints and postcards can be returned at the customer's own cost within 14 calendar days from the day of receipt of the goods. Refunds will be processed once the returned items have made their way back to my studio in their original condition.
Sales of original art and commissioned work are final and not subject to returns nor refunds.
I, the artist, Maris Siimer retain all rights to all of the artwork I create, including but not limited to sold and commissioned original illustrations and paintings.
The buyer or collector who has purchased original artwork may not reproduce the piece in any manner without prior consent.
