Illustration is where my artistic journey began in 2015, and I still return to it with joy. I work with watercolours, ink, pencils, and collage – always exploring quietly layered stories. Sometimes I even make my own tools, tying together grasses from my garden or using pieces of bark to bring out the graphic qualities of the line. I'm drawn to illustration for its endless possibilities, both technically and emotionally – a space for depth, metaphor and playful symbiosis.

Fox Spirit. The Allure of the Fox.
In Chinese culture, fox spirits are mythological beings surrounded by an aura of mystery – a veil woven with a touch of eeriness, but also grace, romance, and secrecy. It is an Eastern fantasy world intertwined with elements of realism.
For years, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry has rested on my bedside table – it has long been one of my favorite books. Since it has spoken to me deeply and inspired me over time, a few illustrations were born from that connection. These works were part of the 6th Tallinn International Illustration Triennial "The Power of the Picture".

The Story of Wardian Case
Watercolours, graphite and coloured pencils, collage.
There was a man from Victorian age, called doctor Ward, who changed the world drastically by discovering the Wardian Case. All the plants, seeds and roots were very happy as they could now travel from one land to another. They could sit or snooze in closely glazed case and dream about the new undiscovered countries and also reach them.
