Maris Siimer (b. 1980, Estonia) is a contemporary artist based in Tallinn.

She graduated from the art education programme (BA, 2011) at Tallinn University’s Institute of Arts and has further developed her skills through various courses at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Since 2016, she has been working as a freelance painter and illustrator.

The main themes in her work are search and longing. She explores the longing to perceive the invisible within the visible and is fascinated by the idea of creating space in a broader sense. Her art reflects a search for confirmation of the perception that everything is interconnected.

She is a member of the Estonian Painters’ Association and the women artists’ collective Phoenix.
